Agility is a sport in which a handler directs a dog through an Obstacle course in a race for both time and accuracy. Dogs must run off-leash, and the handler’s controls are limited to voice, movement, and various body signals. This requires exceptional training.
AKC Agility Trials afford owners the opportunity to demonstrate a dog’s physical ability and willingness to work with the handler under a variety of conditions. Agility results in a better rounded and conditioned dog.
